Abstract
To examine the short-term effects of health hazard factors changes on the incidence of hypertension. We studied 11,632 subjects who received health check-up annually from 2008 to 2012 in health examination centers using their changes of health behavior, mental health status, anthropometric measurements, and biochemical laboratory results at baseline(2010 to 2011). The results of logistic regression showed age, family history of stroke, changes of alcohol intake, BMI, and triglyceride level affects the incidence of hypertension(C-statistics 0.72 [male=0.69]). Maintaining of heavy drinking, overweight, and high level of triglyceride or increasing level of triglyceride increased statistically the incidence of hypertension. Triglyceride can use short-term indicator of incidence of hypertension.
